A room with character

For his Almeria renovation, James set out to preserve the character of a Mediterranean Revival home while updating its design and functionality. The completed primary bathroom pairs a generous use of pattern with traditional fixture shapes.

Green tiles carry through the room, while botanical wallpaper and dark cabinetry create a layered backdrop. An arched opening frames the bathing area. Against those deeper colours, the white Regency bathtub becomes a clear focal point.

The details that connect the room

James selected the Regency Cast Iron Bathtub with Lion Feet in white with chrome feet. Its raised silhouette leaves the patterned floor visible beneath it, while the curved rim complements the arch above.

A freestanding tub filler with a hand shower and stop valves completes the bathing area. The chrome finish connects the filler visually to the tub’s decorative feet, without competing with the room’s colour and pattern.
